In Effutu, Fire Outbreaks Are On The Rise.


Effutu Municipal Fire Commander, Divisional Officer III (D0 III), Kwesi Hughes, has urged drivers and residents in and around Effutu to follow fire safety advice and road safety standards. 

He stated that fighting fire accidents is a shared responsibility, and that everyone must follow the rules in order to help prevent fires and accidents on the roadways. 

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), DO III Kwesi Hughes claimed that in 2021, a total of 107 occurrences, including vehicular, fire, and rescue operations, were recorded, compared to 47 in 2020. 

He emphasized that the considerable increase in accidents could be ascribed to avoidable human errors.
